Sat Feb 2, 2013
atelier: I, too, was a "first" for women in the military. I was one of the first women who was a jet engine mechanic for women in the Air Force. Sea2see and I are pioneers for the women of TODAY in the military. We did it many years ago when it was much, much harder for women when the vets of today …

Agreed. I live in TN and am having a thunderstorm this a.m. To each his own.
Earthquake rattles eastern Kentucky
Sat Nov 10, 2012
I felt it. I live in Morristown, TN. You can see it at the bottom of the map. My house physically shook for about 30 seconds and the glass in my front door buzzed for longer than that. It sounded like a train was driving down my street.

Tue Nov 13, 2012
I was a flightline mechanic on B-52's (8 engines per plane) for 4 years. My hearing is terrible. It's down to 30% in my right ear and 50% in my left ear.

No charges for mother who abandoned severely disabled daughter at bar
Wed Jul 11, 2012
ABCzyx: ram is correct. I live in TN and our healthcare is TERRIBLE. I don't know who is left on TennCare (Medicaid), as they have thrown everyone off of it. I believe the only people left are people who work for it. My sister who has a mental disease (bipolar disorder with schizo affect disorder) w …
Catholic hospitals reject birth control compromise
Fri Jun 15, 2012
After I had my daughter, I wanted my tubes tied. Being Catholic, I was smart enough NOT to have my baby at a Catholic hospital where they do not practice birth control (tubes tied or vasectomy). Point being, if it matters that much to women to have birth control and they are employed by anything the …
New drug shows great promise for deadly melanoma
Mon Jun 4, 2012
RHR: You're on the WRONG thread, unless you have melanoma of the septum.
Women overestimate effectiveness of Pill, condoms
Fri Apr 27, 2012
Maybe I was less than fertile, but my ex-husband and I used the withdrawal method for the three years we were married. I was only pregnant the one time with our daughter. Go figure.
